Tea Montelli was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, a city rich in culture and history that has profoundly influenced her artistic journey. In 2009, following the Russo-Georgian war, she moved to Vienna, Austria, and then to Cairo, Egypt. Now she resides in the eternal city of Rome, Italy, where her creativity flourishes amid the vibrant art scene.
A self-taught painter and mother of two has embarked on taking painting lessons at the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) in 2025 and is working on her first personal exhibition.
A new painter in the Roman art scene combines elements of magical realism with a bold and expressive palette to capture the beauty of personalities and the dreamy images of her memories, that resonate with a sense of both familiarity and otherworldly charm.
