Montelli was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, a city rich in culture and history that has profoundly influenced her artistic journey. In 2009, following the Russo-Georgian war, she moved to Vienna, Austria, and then to Cairo, Egypt. Since 2020 Georgian expat resides in the eternal city of Rome, Italy, where her creativity flourishes amid the vibrant art scene. Having fallen in love with Rome’s historic Monti district, where she first lived upon arriving in the city, she adopted Montelli as her artistic name, inspired by this special connection.
A self-taught painter and mother of two daughters completed the short painting course with Maestro Guido D’angelo at the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) in 2025.
